get the factory fans, either ls1 car or 05 and up truck and a nelson harness. we have had very bad luck with aftermarket fans in long term usuage here in our shop. motors, relay, controllers it all burns out in time. go oem and never look back. not to say something cant go wrong with those, anything mechanical can break, but gm engineered them for durability.

Yeah, +1 on the 05 and up stock efans. If you wanna go the cheapy route, buy some LS1 fans from Ebay. You need to fab up some brackets with a few pieces of flat steel or aluminum strips, which can be bought at Home Depot. The wiring is easy--and about $40. Get 2 spools f wire--one red and one black, 2-30 amp 4-prong relays, an couple inline 30 am fuses. Wire them all up and use a 12 volt source from the underhood fuse panel to find a 12 volt source once the ignition is turned to the ON position. That is about the easiest and cheapest route.
I just installed a set of Trick Fans on Show&Go (Ian) truck last week. The fans and aluminum shroud looked top-notch. Wiring was easy.
