I think the LSX engines are impressive either carb'd or fi.
I have a 5.3 in an obs, and stayed with the fi, as I figured all the technology and tuning would be going in that direction.
The software, though challenging to learn, gives you nearly infinite options for tuning which is very fun.
That said, the carb is definitely not dead, and some carb'd lsx engines are making big power.
My vote would be stick with the injection. FWIW

My motor's fuel injected. Thought about carb'd, but didn't like the idea of cold-starting during winter months. Someone on this board did a carb'd setup in a mid-80s truck. Don't recall any major downfall.
yeah but i dont need to worry about that cause my truck is stored from october to march. i just think carbed would be so much easier for me and a lot less work and cheaper cause i got some good holleys sittin on the shelf. and i can rebuild them real fast since both my race cars have holleys.
but what would run the coil packs? would i dtill need the pcm for them cause if i do then f it ill just fuel inject it.
