I think the LSX engines are impressive either carb'd or fi.
I have a 5.3 in an obs, and stayed with the fi, as I figured all the technology and tuning would be going in that direction.
The software, though challenging to learn, gives you nearly infinite options for tuning which is very fun.
That said, the carb is definitely not dead, and some carb'd lsx engines are making big power.
My vote would be stick with the injection. FWIW
