I got my tune and the truck definitely feels smoother and it reacts better. Seems like it's more efficient.
I logged it with EFI Live, I haven't gone through the whole thing but I'm seeing 30 degrees of timing typically. It's like Allen set it there, it's like the truck is trying to get used to it because it's unstable, goes from ~28 to ~32.
Also, I'm seeing -10 degrees of timing through the shifts. That's right, NEGATIVE. I don't think Allen removed TM.
I sent you an e-mail Allen, I want it ALL removed
Well...I went out to drive my truck today....doesn't start...tried at least 20 times. Nothing.
I guess I will have to put my stock tune in until Allen gets back to me :whack:
Have you tried the security relearn yet?Quote:

GM started this on 96 and continued to 02, you must perform that first.
check out my site under the faq page, the relearn is there for you.
sorry, must have gotten busy and not put the paper in the box, doh.
allen
Yup, I got the instructions at ls1truck.com
It starts up now :jump:
Did you remove TM? I was expecting to break the tires loose on the 1-2 shift at WOT and I was surprised that it didn't.
On EFI Live I saw -10 degrees advance in between the 1-2 shift.
I e-mailed you my log, did you get it?
Got your e-mail, shot another one back at ya :thumb:
Will everyone on the newer trucks need to do the security relearn or will just some pcms need it?Quote:

Supposedly all GM trucks after 96 will require it. However, I see quite a few 03/04 trucks not need it.
I'm sure some will debate this, but it's just what i see, there's really no rhyme or reason to it either. I see variations to the relearn as well despite what the "official papers" say.
I'll send or email docs with the pcm , it's fairly easy to perform.
thanks,
allen
That's strange??? I have changed the pcm on my 01 several times and it has never had this occur. At least i'll have the heads up this time if it does happen. Hopefully i'll get my new tune this week!
That's exactly my point, I can't explain and it's only a guess if your pcm will require it.
I've seen the majority of them need it , but others not. who know, lol.
