I think that you have 3.42's now. but 4.10's will help allot. But its all in what your plans are. If your going turbo, you might wanna get 3.73 or 3.90 gears. some guys leave the 3.42's in for better top end on turbo trucks. And A locker Locks the rear wheels when accel. so both spin evenly. No more 1 wheels peel. Adn if you have a G80 a tru-trak will work much better and isallot stronger.
I know that it has 3:23's is there any chance u know how much time i will drop with 4:10's? thanks for the help!!!!:)
Oh by the way I'm just a highschool kid working at a grocery store so no turbos or superchargers for me but possibly a 75 shot of spray.
with a retune and a wet nitrous kit you can spray a 150 shot. Thats my setup. Only problem youll have is traction. With my open diff I will spinn the tire on a 125 shot. As for a reduction in time... I would guess maybe .4 off maybe? You guys chime in if you know that answer. I am keeping my stock gears because I dont wanna mess with them.
I think its a reduction of 1 full second per every 100 horse shot.
gears help tremendously believe me man get better gears i had 3:23s originally and wasnt benifitting from any mods until i got the 4:10s.
tune, gears, stall converter and some slicks are key parts to cutting your times right from the start. Wish i could spray my 4.8L before I end up selling it but i dont think its going to happen. =(
going from 323 to 410 could get u around .5 to .6 seconds off of your quarter mile time....
Does anybody have an idea on how much gas mileage i will lose
nothin that you will notice. just stayin out of the throttle will be hard.
