The fans run almost all the time in the summertime anyway so I don't think it would hurt to run them all the time. It needs to run anytime the AC is on anyway. It is nice to have the fans automatic with the PCM, then you don't have to worry about overheating or forgetting to turn them on. Call Nelson Performance and talk to them, I'm sure they can make you happy. It still would be nice to have a switch to turn on the fans anytime you want as well.
A switch to turn them on when I want hell yeah that would be pretty cool that way I could keep them on even when the truck is off and cool the engine in between passes at the strip that might be what I want.
If you wanna look at that statement like a perv... then that sentance would be true, if I was comparing myself to a submarine. :spit:
I think I did measure to hole thing so I must have the 28 like Jeff So were do I go from there? Thanks for that Jeff.
Now I guess I have to go with the LS1 fans is there a certain year I should look for? How should I go about Installing them Ive done some searches but havent fond what I need ill do some more to night.

the 28 will not take the 05 fans... it will take the ls1 fans or you could piece together a kit your self like this one... eBay Motors: GMC SIERRA SILVERADO ELECTRIC COOLING FAN KIT MORE MPG (item 110232851585 end time Mar-18-08 17:06:32 PDT) ... you could just buy it or get the pieces and save a few bux. Also somebody here makes shrouded efans, but they are pricey. But worth every penny
