You did not have knocking cause it didn't throw a rod or similar occurance. Your bearings prolly just frooze up.

Yeah, sound slike the bearings froze up... Damn, sorry to hear about that--but you are right--160K on forcedinduction=no good. Start with a clean slate this time and try to reuse as many parts from the old valvetrain as you can. Hopefully you can find a decent lower mileage 6.0L!
