Yeah, im sure it will loose some low end, but i dont think it will completely kill the low end of the engine, whats a good stall speed to match up to this cam?

3200 works well
is that alittle high for a DD? I was thinking a 2800 would be a better choice for a DD.
Yep, Lance sold me his MTI cam and I paired it with the Yank TT3000. It's my DD (70-80 mile round trip) and absolutely love it. Trust me, the top end makes up for any loss on the bottom!! It seems to continously pull hard all the way through!! Oh, and I still average 18 mpg!!
did you do the cam swap after you had the STS kit on there?
big differance even with the boost??
How is the idle? Got any sound clips? Also is the engine a stock 5.3 other than the cam and associated parts?
Any track times???
If we end up at a light ill half to remember not to try anything.
Yes
Yes, boost doesn't build as quick down low, but it pulls hard on the top end.
Idle pretty much stock. You have to have a keen ear to hear the lope. I'll try to get some sound clips later today. 5.3 is stock other than springs and push rods.
I went to HMP about 2 weeks ago and ran a 9.0219 @ 79.65mph with a 2.19 60ft. Still no getting off the line like I should (driver error).
We'll have to meet up and run!! You ever go to HMP?
We have been having great luck with 02-up LS6 cams in boosted trucks. One customer has STS and LS6 cam, he runs 7.60's 1/8mile. If you want to stay N/A the MTI stealth and stealth II are real close to the 5.3L customs we sale. You will need a 3000+ stall to make the most of any cam including stock.
