I do have one question for you, how did you get the 90mm Throttle Body to work? I am trying to find an adapter that will work but they are saying that in 2006 there were some changes....
The AWD transfer case is off of a Silverado SS4...
The one off the SS4 truck is much stronger than the one off the ton Suburbans and other derivatives. Its aviscous coupler, unlike the 4WD which have a chain inside them. This one is much beefier than the unit taht comes stock on the car. So in that sense its a beefed up one.
Yes that is what I am told... The stock one on teh 1/2 ton AWD is much weaker. But I really do not think much can go wrong with the viscous coupler, it may get hot as the plates slip and most of the power is transfered to the rear wheels than the 60/40 ratio. The 4WD ones are more problematic because the wek link becomes the chain.
Project Ended :-) Test drove the car finally Saturday.
