I think the main concern would be if the chassis points that the tank mounts to are different from a 1/2 ton to 3/4 ton. I have no idea if there is a difference but might get lucky and the bigger tank will just bolt in.

Yah, I just hope I can find someone knowledgable. I called the parts dept for 2006 3/ton and they said all they saw was a 15 gallon at they only auxilary tank and that they only see a 26 gallon tank.
Good luck--I just hope I can find someone knowledgable.
Hello Bismarck2--- would that make me Bismarck1??? or is it that--Bisamarck2-- is named after the battle ship and not the capital city of the great state of ND???
anyway, I would find a big tank truck and get permission to slide underneath and measure everything and compare notes. The long beds got the larger tank than the short boxes [in 2002 ]so it might be a length fit problem.
IN 2002 regcabwheelbaseshortbox119"longbox133"
excab sb 143.5 lb 157.5"
crewcab sb 153 lb 167"
Thanks, yes I am named after battle ship in WWII :)
I wish someone had already done this so I could save the research... its always a pin getting into researching this stuff :D
