gu6= 3.42 gt4= 3.73 gt5= 4.10 those are the basic set of gears that come stock from factory the gt5 i think only came in z71 4x4 and corvettes and HD trucks, most likely a standard truck with a 4.8 or 5.3 came with the gu6 and gt4
i can run 80 at 2200 rpm, im thinking about changing my gears out though should i get a 3.73 would it be good for daily driving? Oh yeah does anyone know a good shop to get it changed at?

Nothing to even worry about. 3.73's are a noticeable improvement over 3.42's. If you are going to go to the trouble of changing out your gears, make sure you go ahead and throw a posi in at the same time...Quote:

Yeah but mine has the 3.23.....sucks! So it would probably be a vast improvement, so get the 3.73 and an eaton posi?
