Ah, I haven't seen many Z71s with an open rear.
That's just a start. Diff, gears, bearings, lube, seals, new rear cover, yoke, driveshaft repair.... OUCH!
Better off going to a 9.5" SF at least.

That would be a semi-floating rear end. The axle configuration is totally different than the 8.5" rear.
damn man have not seen carnage like that on the street since i shelled the last rear in my old transam.... sucks for sure sorry to see that... :bash:

Yes but the 9.5 will bolt up just like stock and you can use GM hardware. Yes, keeping six lugs is no sweat.
