well the truck is back on jackstands and the tranny is on the garage floor. I had a tq converter made for my truck that was supposed to adapt the older style 4l60e to my 6.0. and it doesnt fit. tried to get ahold of fuddle racing who built it for me and they apparently went under, their site is down and the phone number has been disconnected.
going to see if I can find a converter shop or machine shop that can lengthen the pilot on the converter to make one of my tq converters fit.
this thing is going to be the death of me...

Sorry to hear you met the unfamous Fuddle. Contact CircleD and see if they can help you out. Maybe they can rebuild the Fuddle for your application for fair money.

if I can get ahold of one of the spacers that came on the cranks of the 6.0s after 2001 then I should be good. if I cant get ahold of one of those then I will need to get the pilot extended.

got a spacer, its going in this weekend. hopefully some good updates soon.

update.
got everything back in late tuesday, installed the spacer and 80e flexplate, got the converter spacing right, new seals, and a new shaft o-ring.
there was a puddle of tranny fluid on the floor after a minute of running it. this thing is going to be the death of me.
so tranny is back on the floor of the garage, I looked at it as good as I could while it was running and its coming out of the front seal. hope it doesnt run too much to fix, Ii'm going to take my 2 converters and the tranny to a shop on monday and have them find out what will work.

Mine did the same thing after I cracked a bell housing. The misalignment tore up the front pump bushing so it allowed the converter to push out of position just enough that it wore out the front seal. It poured a stream of fluid out when running.
Rebuilt front pump and a weld repair on the bell housing crack fixed the problem on mine.
Your previous converter issue probably wore out the front pump bushing.

I have burnout vids that are still loading, should be up a little later. they arent the best, but i'll get better ones when the exhaust is done and its tuned.
on a side note, all my family (mostly my wonderful wife) pitched in to get me a toolbox! so i can finally organize my garage!

"Abby" for those of you that care to know is my 84 c10 that I got from a friends mom who bought it off the lot in 84, she has a 305 with an rv cam and edelbrock 4bbl thats backed by a turbo 350 tranny. these arent the most recent pics, she has a new grille(stock replacement) and I just picked up some sport mirrors and she'll be in primer soon so I can get her rust spots(all suraface) and get get som body work done, and I will be giving her a 3/5 or 4/5 drop. I'll post a link to her build thread for anyone who cares. she will get the 6.0 with forged internals and either an 80e or t56.
