Anyone know on these GEN III engines how the knock sensors fit into the valley cover? pictures maybe?

Y are you going to run Shortys?
you thread the knock sensors into the bosses. you put the cover on, connect the wiring harness to the knock sensors. push the rubber boots down onto the valley cover. IMHO id put a thin layer of RTV under the boots, press them down an wipe clean.
thanks keniff. I think I get it now. the knock sensors actaully thread into the block and the grommets on the valley cover (not wire harness) keep the mositure out?
yep :) a lil extra protection is to seal it off with RTV
