i also just scooped up an 02 Lexus IS300. guy said it had an electrical problem. turns out some new terminals & battery is all it needed. it's very rough but for what i paid for it it's great!!!! best part is it has cold A/C!!!!
plans for now is to fix a few things & use it for a daily to finish my truck.
long term plans are LS1/6 speed, bags, billets, & satin charcoal paint.

hey RPM,
great write up on the build of the truck.
I really like the attention to detail
Did you do anymore work to the engine?
nothing done, just a stock LS1, CAI, LT's, & a tune. trying to get the doors finished & get my compressors hooked up. this little IS is starting to take my truck funds, LOL!!!
brakes are pretty bad so i just ordered some pads & i need a new stitch for the passenger seat.
hey RPM,
what motor mounts did you use?
thanks
i used a set from Wisner Machine Works in Michigan. he sells them on ebay. i bought the multi hole set, 1" back, center, 1" forward. i used the center holes & everything fit & lined up great. i used the trans from the camaro so i had to adjust my trans cross member, but other then that the Schoenfeld headers & everything fit great.
Sweet build and an awesome fint on the IS.
