Don't be that thin skinned. This thread really has turned into Apples vs Lemons. Both can be made into a good drink. No point in the entire argument.
8 second "street" cars vs trucks. I mean really. BBCs for all out drag racing. Ok I won't argue. I really don't care. A daily driven truck well LSx is the way for me. Looks like it is that way for you also. No point in trying to change them.
This is the first forum were i see people dont respect the BBC. Guys ino ls motors are fast but its still a small block. Ill go big block in anything if i was to build something. There nothing that a ls motor can do that a BBC cant do better. I think this forum is a brain wash to most of you guys.
NO Actually it is since when people ask any question you guys scream NELSON PERFORMANCE. lol
Yea carbs are pretty easy to tune and your just getting started at 500hp sooo yea.
ive seen 4 502ci bbc, yes i did say 4 lol, on a wind boat that each motor turned 15,000 rpms, the top speed was 35mph lol, anyways, the point i was trying to make, you can get a lot of rpms outta a bbc, o and the reason for only a top speed of 35mph, it was a bucket/crane for working powerlines in the swamp. ive seen both ls and bbc motors all run fast times, reliability and economical ill stick with my ls, but for raw power, ill go with the bbc, i just wanted to add my .02 to this and add to the entertainment :hyper2:
I never said a big block can't rev high. It's just the amount of money required to make it happen is much more compared to an LSx. I'll run some numbers on desktop dyno for comparison.
