thank u...i'll look into it
their is some other parts you can buy with the kit. HEY RED !!need some help, cant remember what the parts r called :whack:
servos would help you out as well
have vette servo already and it works great over stock
Depends on how deep you're going into the tranny. Personally I think the Transgo SK kit is plenty for most transmission shift improvements. Get new aluminum pinless accumulators, a billet superior 1-2 and 3-4 servos, a new transgo transmission seperator plate, a couple extra check balls just in case you lose one or two while doing the change over. You could get the vacuum pressure regulator kit too if you want to go all out. A lot of guys buy a longer pin for the 2nd gear band, it goes behind the 1-2 servo, I've never needed one though. Get a new filter and run some good quality trans fluid in it, no synthetics.
thats what i was lookin for. thanks red, you always know how to help out :hshake:
how long will my tranny last if i put a shift kit in?...i went to a shop and he said it won't last long...is he blowing smoke or is he telling the truck?
It depends on how bad of condition the transmission is in to start with. It's a little harder on the transmission but so is racing or pulling a trailer.
