for teh project truck Danny got some MSD plug wires that he made himself... not to sure where he picked them up but he mightg be able to steer you in the right direction
Are the truck wires longer or shorter? How about the LS2 GTO? I know you have some around there you could check and see if ones are longer than others. Document it after you're done, Please. :thumb:
If I use a stock ls1 wire, it's about 3 inches too short because the coils are up by the intake.
I think the trucks are longer.
I remember making some custom wires but can't remember where I bought them.
I'll keep you updated Red,
allen
I think I saw some at O'Reilly's one time but could be wrong.
The coil relocation kits usually come with build them yourself coil wires. I wonder who's those were.
DANg i kow last night i saw in teh new sport truck magazine they had a new 7.0 built by someone (probably out of Calif) but they had the coils up top by the intake and stuff... if your in a super market try and just take a glanced at it... i didnt even think about this when i was thumbing through it last night
Not to be brand specific ....
You might try Taylor Wires (www.taylorvertex.com) either 8MM or the 10.4MM Thundervolt Custom Set. They should have a package available for the "coil relocation kit" - don't know the part number off the top of my head. Either way you could make up a set to your length.
Some of the LS1 wire sets (stock) are offered in different "series" such as FF, GG, or HH and their lengths vary by an inch or two. It would require some time at your favorite parts house pulling sets and comparing unless someone knows a "reference chart" with lengths.
MSD is another option - although they are a bit more expensive depending on your requirements.
Hope that helps point you in the right direction - please update with your solution for the rest of the members.
I use http://magnecor.com, best damn wire out there. They will make them any length you want
