even tho the rods are heaver they are still the same sise? I am just wondering if i ever build a gen 3 engine what i should do. I know where i can get a low mile 6.0 long block pretty cheap to start with. If i were to build one it would go in a 4x4 truck anyway so the extra weight of the iron block dosent matter to me. Now that my friend got his ls1 for a swap i've been looking in to the gen 3 enines a lot more, and even thinking about building my own. If so I would like to get around 450 hp NA at the crank.. would the truck 6.0 be a good start? Can the stock truck bottom end hold 450hp? and if so how much will a stock truck 6.0 bottom end handle?
