Ok I am helping a buddy swap an LS1 in to a 93 4x4 Yukon. The LS if from a 98 Fbody. I am just wondering what kind of issues i am going to have with this swap. I know that you have to cut out the frame to clear the ac pump,(wants AC functional) but what about the Alternator? it's the low mount one, anyone know if it will celar. Also any other clearance issues i may have. I know that i need to use teh 2000 vette fuel filter. what about tha power steering lines will they conncct to the steering box of the truck, or do i need custom ones made.

The power steering hoses should bolt right in. I'm not sure of the placement of the alternator on the 4x4 chassis but it works perfect on the 4x2 frame. You don't "have to" notch the frame. Street and Performance makes a high/right side a/c mount for a Sanden 508 compressor so that you dont have to weaken the frame by cutting on it.
