I just bought a 5.3\4L60, its missing the fuel rail, coils, injectors, alternator. I found a guy that has a complete ls6 and he is only using the short block. The ls6 is out of a 2003 corvette. My question is
1. Can I use the fuel rail, coils, injectors ?
2. Can I use the manifold? Would this be an upgrade for my 5.3?
3. Can I use the heads? Would this be an upgrade for my 5.3?
I can get all this for $500, what ya'll think?
One last thing, is anybody interested in helping me out with my conversion. I'm in Riverside, California (SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA)

the heads will probsably lower your compresion and you dont want to do that, on the intake if it is an ls6 intake it will be an upgrade and the rest fuel rail will work but on certain model trucks the fuel regulator is on the fuel rails the f-body has it some were else i believe the fuel tank so you would need a fuel pressure regulator if everythings is going for 500 it is a good deal because the ls6 intake alone sales from 300-375 on ls1tech so it is not bad alll that for 500

I put the LS6 heads on my 4.8 but I had them milled 035" netting me around 58cc.
Your 5.3 heads combustion chamber is around 61. something cc and the LS6 are 64cc
Not a huge difference maybe you could go with a thinner head gasket and get it close enough.
I love theses heads, it made a big difference. IMO I think you would be very happy with them.

I'd be all over those LS6 parts for $500.00 You can use all the Corvette parts on a 5.3L block. The heads by themselves are worth $500.00 if they are LS6. The intake used is worth $300-$350. I like the LS1/LS6 look so I'd be installing all the parts to make it look like the LS6. I'd sell the heads just to offset the cost. Put them babies on Ebay and pocket the $500.

thank ya'll for the info and advice, I'm going to buy all the parts and just sell the heads.
