98 model LS1, factory dual fuel line setup (one pressure and one return), and a walbro pump fro Allen. The 86 was a diesel with dual tanks. Can I just keep the factory switch in the dash and at the tanks, and use the vent line as a return? Then splice the walbro in line. Will that work or is there more to it? If this will work, whats the best way to regulate the pressure? Or is the walbro already at the right pressure? Thanks
You can use the secondary tank just to transfer fuel to the main tank.
The dual feed fuel rail should have a built in fuel pressure regulator. If you want to be sure you have correct pressure you can add a FPR on the return line.
The walbro is not regulated. It will max out at about 80 lbs if I remember correctly.
My dual tanks work perfectly. :wave: Is this an inline pump you have? Mine is inline, and with a stock NBS filter.

Yes it is an inline. Do you have a pressure and return using the factory supply and vent lines? Are you using the factory switching valve?

Pic of valve assembly (switches b/t tanks & connects all the necessary lines). Remember... behind that is a total of four (4) ports (feed & return). Feed is on top, return is on bottom.

Same goes for this pic (feed on top, return on bottom). My intake has a built-in regulator that returns about 30 - 40% of what comes out of the tank.

Hope this gives you an idea of what I've done. There's a stock filter between the pump and intake (about 6 - 8 inches in front of the pump, mounted as well).
Thanks 1badc10. Thats just what I needed. So if I have this right I can hook mine up like yours and it will work fine and be regulated on the fuel rail. One more question....anybody have any suggestions on what filter. Thanks
Like I said, no problems with fueling here. Just make sure that you used fuel injected hose, and not the low pressure stuff. Eventually the low pressure stuff will collapse (if not worse).
Also, the stock filter is okay. Again, make sure it's high-pressure rated.
