I had a few good runs this weekend, but we only got a couple runs on vid. The others weren't much to write home about anyway...a couple near stock mustangs and a 300z with a turbo.
The 03 gt was funny. These guys had no idea. We caught up to them, opened the cutout, and they laughed. We went from a dig twice and when they caught back up to us they were laughing their asses off and yelling WTF?! I seem to get that alot. :laugh:
The guy in the boosted 300z thought it was ALOT faster than it really was. :laugh: The first two races were from a dig. I launched it hard, then eased out of it by 65, and I had at least 5 cars on him. For some reason he wanted to go again, so we went from 20. It ended the exact same way. :laugh:
Now for the fox body...I could hear the cam in this thing a mile away. When I pulled in the parking lot, the hood was up and a group of people were huddled around it checking it out. It sounded strong, so I was a little hesitant to run it in my fat ass truck, but I figured why not. I asked for a dig, but he said no. He agreed to a 20 punch, if I'd go again from 40, so off we went. I figured I would lose the 40 race, but I knew I had a good shot at the 20. 40 is the worst possible starting point for me, so I'm pretty happy with the results. When we went from 20, I pulled ahead on the launch, and he was at my back bumper when he missed third.

I tried 2 footing it on the 40 punch, to try and build boost..it kinda worked. He pulled out and I was at his back bumper till about 80, when I started to reel him in. He shut it down when I got to his door at about 90.

I found out the next night that it has a cam, gears, and several bolt-ons. The guy saw my Nelson Performance decal in the back window, so he found the site and saw my list of mods. I might have to talk to Allen about getting that thinned down a bit. :devil:

The thing About the Nelson Sticker is that, but down here everybody ask me if he can tune some older cars...too bad nobody is pepping a 99 or newer!!!!!!
