Logging in from the state of Wasington. I have been viewing this forum for some time (mostly in conversions). I have received alot of info from there. Thank you!
To put a date on my age, I went through high school in the mid 70's. I have built a few vehicles and painted many. A career change in the later 80's pulled me from Autobody to Aerospace Engineering. Now on to the user ID ref. I have '92 c1500 std swb project going, The cause that started it is, that it was stolen by someone who thought they needed the drivetrain worse than I did. So I get this brainstorm of an idea, I'll put an LS1 out of an '02 Corvette in it. Shouldn't be too bad. Well, I needed everthing. They were even nice enough to cut all the engine harness wires, I'd have to say they were in a hurry. As it ended up I bought an LS1 out of a 2002 trans-am, auto. I was paralleling another user "98hd" for a while. I was running into the same problems at the same time as him. I am pretty sure he is way past me now. My playtime out of the shop, out weighs the time in it. But, I will keep plugging along. I am sure that most of my postings will be in "conversions" for a while longer as I am now real close to the worst part for me. The wiring.
Thanks, Jon

Welcome
92 huh? Gotta love those models. My first conversion was a 92 xcab and it was stolen. Sound familiar? My replacement is my current 93. It started out with the fbody LS1 and now has a 408 block in place of the LS1 shortblock. These conversions are definitely trying at time but worth the results. :thumb:
