Hi there LS1 truck people. Man, I'm impressed with this site and the information being shared on it. I am an electrican by trade and got into welding and general fabrication a few years back. Since then then I have become seriously addicted to fabricating and building what ever I can get my hands on. Right now I'm in the process of building my own chopper frame and hope to make the avaialble for sale in the near future .
I own a 94 chevy 1500 4.3L V6 that I got in 2002 from the original owner for 2000 bucks. The thing only had 30,000 miles on it when I got it and now has 98,00. The only problems it's had so far has been a fuel pump replacement and a strangely chewed up flywheel. Other than being slow as hell, the thing has been a champ. I'd love to keep her around and put some new life into her. Glad I found this site.

Welcome, sounds like a nice ride. Care to post some pics up of it? You can open an account on photobucket to host your pics and then you can copy the IMG link to the pics in your replies.

It's pretty plain, but here we go

I think I've washed it 4 times since I've owned it, and the paint is holding up surprisingly well.

Nice base vehicle. It has a whole lot of potential. a nice set of custom wheels would do it wonders. Even a bath would help. Truly, I like the base white. :thumb: What do you want to do to it? How about a crate 572?

572, I wish! I think you guy's are gonna kick me off the sight for what I have in mind. Is monster desert prerunner out of the question? I live in san diego, and there are a million pre runnered fords and yota's around, but no chevy's. Kinda wanted to show what a short cab built chevy can bring to the table in the pre runner arena. I'd like to go to a V8, but try not to blow up my stock tranny. I know this site is more for street trucks, but I'm hoping you'll take in a dirt monkey for the sake of horse power.

Prerunners are cool. I had my 92 lifted up with the prerunner style for a while. I had Fabtech lift spindles on it and a 3" body lift. It handled horribly. I'd go with any other company than Fabtech for a 2wd truck. I think Rancho makes a nice kit. My 32s and 10" of total lift made the truck pretty tough looking but it was scary to drive because the kit was a total POS. All I can say it that the kit may have saved our family when we blew a corrola to pieces when a drunk made a uturn on the interstate in front of us. The higher center of gravity helped a whole lot. In west Texas we have quite a few offroad races and prerunners are worthy offroaders, not to mention they look tough.

There are more than a few people here that have Jeeps with a little GM power and even a few Z71/4x4 that have been pumped up.... :jump:
Welcome :hshake:
