Has anyone experienced an issue with attempting to commit to a VIN-specific license, and not seen the option available... even though the credits for HPT licensing IS available? See pic below:

do you have 2.1.12 or higher?
Yep, had 2.1.12, and updated to .14, then went back to .12 to be sure it wasn't a bug in the new release. According to Chris@HPTuners, that's b/c the serial # for the PCM doesn't seem to be valid.
Question now is:
"How do I get open access to the PCM to read/write calibration and VIN info given its current state?"
Are you sure that pcm isnt locked and its just not telling you. It doesnt seem to give you an option at all to license it.
Got a PM back from the guy I bought it from. He had it tuned by Jesse at Wait4Me. Being that he's using EFILive, I have no clue as to whether or not he can even unlock it. He thinks Jesse may have locked it. I really don't care about what's on the PCM. I had plans to overwrite the entire PCM, but that seems shot.
I'm wondering if a GM Service Tech has the ability to flash it to stock where HPT fails to do. Guess I'll find out tomorrow.
Yes a GM tech II I believe can flash it even if it is locked. However, if you are just using HPT, if its locked, ur screwed. I have heard Jesse leaves his PCMs open.
yup... apparently EFILive has a key function that can be entered to fix that. Just have to get to someone with EFILive.
If you were near DFW would help you out , $ffff is what you are looking for .
Just an fyi, a TechII can't flash a locked pcm, and if you're getting that far with hptuners, it's not locked.
Might be a Custom OS on there , which may look a little funny to HPTuners .
Should be able to do a full reflash ?
