Is there a difference in the LS1 cam from different years (98 to 2002). Just curiouse which would be the best to go with.

yes the specs are different from one year to the next, and the vette cam is different from the F-body
Yeah I got a '98 cam from SS (same as Z28) ...it's a 198/209 I think but it has .500" lift too.
Some years are the same and some are different, even the 6.0L has the LS1 cam in it, you can check out the reference area for more info:

IMO, excluding the Z06 cams, the 2000 Y-car cam would be the best for a truck followed by the 98 Fbod cam.
why the 2000 im curious? because of the lower lsa, cause the 98 has the 2 extra * of duration and more timing? am i reading the timing right the 98 cam has more timing? dont these new gen motors need all the timing they can get?Quote:

These trucks love timing, anybody have any info on cam comparisons, that would make for some good reference material.
