well im new to this but i wanted to know what i would need to convert my 1990 gmc 4.3 5-speed into an lt1 also about how much am i going to spend and would i have to turn it into autmatic or if i could keep it standard because to me standard is better than automatic
That looks like a twin of Farmtruc's..... :devil: The owner of this forum has a Chevy version, close in years, shortbed regular cab in the works with lots of "Go Fast Parts" in store for it :burnout:
Nitrous did a swap in the similar body style. Do a search for his threads and posts, a wealth of info :duh:

Start by getting a LS1 or GenIII engine instead. There are a lot of resources here to help you out and you are going to have to do all the same labor to do the LS1 as you do to convert to an LT1 plus there are better tuning solutions for the LS1 based engines...
