I just desimated my 4.8 about a month ago with 167,xxx miles on it and now I need a new motor. I've been reading about a 1000 different threads just trying to get confirmation about what I'm thinking.
1) are the 4.8's, 5.3's, and 6.0's all the same on the outside? bolt right in?
2) what about wiring? Are all the connectors in the same spot along with wires being long enough to reach? Anything I need to watch for?
3) What is the best thing to do with the ECU?
4) Anything in the future I should be watching out for or I should upgrade now while the motor is out?
