i currently have a 2001 5.7 under the hood of my 2001 truck. what i'm looking to do is mount a fuel cell in the bed, and build the fuel system to work with the stock power i have now, but be streetable for 700-800 HP later.
What i have:
aeromotive a1000 fuel pump w/ -10AN ports
aeromotive 100 micron fuel filter
baffleless/foamless billet fuel cell
to run this stock, will i need a new fuel pressure regulator? if so, can you be recommended? will the PCM have big problems with me changing up the fuel system this much? i'm worried that the tank is going to end up being a problem here...am i right?
any other thoughts and comments are completely welcome.

Unless you are worried about your regulator being a restriction to maximum flow once you are pushing your future 800HP,your regulator will work just fine for now. Also, your PCM doesn't give a hoot about your fuel supply. Your regulator keeps the pressure down to operating range and the PCM changes injector pulse width as needed to fuel the engine.
