I was wondering how much front to back clearance you guys have between the stand on the crossmember and the engine mount. My project has a custom frame with welded in stands and the Auto Zone mounts are about 3/8" wider than the stand. Project is 65 Vette with aluminum 5.3 from an Envoy.
I'm not sure if anyone here would know about your Vette. But you never know.

I checked what is in the car now and the factoy stand is 2-1/2" wide and the mount fits snug on it. I'm just wondering if the clearance would hurt me. I may take those mounts back. Just found the conversions/hybrids forum on LS1 Tech. Will look there also for answers.Thanks
