Hi dudes,
Since Allen just erase me from his buddys list, I had to look other way to flow the steem.
So Today I disamble HumVee, in a hour they're delivering it here at my work site.
Since the body was separated from the chassis, I send the body to a painting Shop. MEanwhile I'll work in the mechanics.
The specs are:
HumVee 1989
GM 6.2L non turbo diesel engine
Turbo hydramatic 400 trans
4 person capacity pickup style all open.
My plans are to upgrade the engine with a nice turbo, repair the trans, and upgrade with a Gear Vendors.
Mainly purpose of the vehicle is Beach Fun and fashion LOL
Right now it has new tyres, but I want to go to a 22" with Nitos Terra Graplers.
As soon as the chasis arrives I'll take a few pics and post!!!!!

Actually its HMMWV, Highly Mobile Multi Wheeled Vehicle.. there buddy. Being that its the 6.2L that means you got the A1 version. Get rid of the half ass bead lock wheels and get some good wheels. The ones on it are 16.5 and it narrows the tire selection quite a bit. If i was you i would put a whole new set of guages and re wire the whole thing because we found out in iraq that hummers have a horrible wirring system. Did your hummer come from the army, navy, Marines, or air force? Is it a two door or 4 door? Is it hard top of soft top? Let me know what you need by this weekend and ill see if i can get it. I have a line on non hard parts. The frame is stout on those as well. If you have to take the tranny out dont be afraid to use a 2x4 and a floor jack to push the crossmember back inbetween the frame rails as the crossmember will actually spread the frame rails appart in order to fit, and it makes a nice loud bang when it goes in. I got 5 years of experience on these things so let me know what you need to know. Ill see if i have the manuals for them still on my computer. It tells you almost everything you need to know. even with trouble shooting flow charts.
Dont be afraid to ask me whatever you need to know and ask for what you need and ill try to get it for you cheap.

Dude, Thank U so much.....really apreciate all the help I can Get. I know diesel engines and trans, but the whole HMMWV is new for me.
I'll start taking the Trans off for a rebuild, and will check all the gears just to make sure.
Then I'll jump to the engine.
Indeed is an A1, 4 doors soft top, 16.5" wheels that are the same Sh#t of the 2500 Suburbans!!!!!!
Since it has new tires I plan to wear them down and change wheels to 22" with some bad ass Nittos.
The truck is turn appart, and I will do a whole new wiring system with Digital gauges, as my 69 SS Camaro. They look nice in old vehicles.
Where did it came from? no clue, It was from the Ecuadorian Army, so I guees It was a purchase from them of some kind!!!!
The aluminum of the cab is in great shape, so I just send it to take a retouch and was thinking on Gun Metal Color!!!! What do you suggest?
For the parts, I'll be bugging you a lot, cause there is not even head lights here for the Humvee, so know me as your next kidney!!!!!
Thanks again dude for the offer of help, I'll be needing much, I'll post pics of the advance here so you guys know

Ok Gabe, I found out a few things for you. I had to check and make sure that there wasnt any sensitive material in the Mech. and Part manuals i have this weekend. I also have a few suggestions for you. First things first.
Get M1114 springs and rear upper spring mounts and M1114 shocks. Doing so will allow you about two to three more inches of lift making the 36" tall tires you have now look like donut tires. You could easily fit a 40" tire withwith the heavy springs with no problems if you wanted. The M1123 springs and M998 springs which is probably what you have wear out really quick and you have to change them if you do any serious off roading. the M1114 springs or "up armor" springs will allow you to change your M998 from 1 1/2 ton truck to 2 1/4 ton truck. It will ride a little worse but it will hold up to abuse ten times better.
To find out what you have you can either look at the data below the driver door latch in the door jamb. or look at the tranny tunnel under the steering column and there should be a white sticker with what you have. Im guessing M998.
Also i can get you some small non hard parts at a small cost to me so you need to let me know what you need and give me about 1 month to get it for a cheap price.
Be really carefull if you have to disconnect the front sway bar from the front lower control arms. It is best that you just take the whole sway bar loose from the frame and bolt it to the control arms first and then pry it back into position on the frame. It is really easy to strip the threads on the lower control arms. There are quite a few differences in some of the suspension parts of an A1 and A2 or even an up armor "M1114"
Second are the batteries if you have the crappy brown batteries trash them and get some good ventless gel cell batteries to replace them. Vented batteries always leak and cause massive corrosion to the aluminum body and batttery hold down. Take the stupid slave cable receptical under the passenger seat and disconnect the wires to make a good jumper cable set up because i doubt anyone is going to just have some slave cables laying around in an emergency. I believe your starter is just a regular GM diesel starter and you can get the rebuilt at any starter and alternator rebuild shop way cheaper than i could get you one.
Also if you have a fording switch by the "dog house" or interior engine cover make sure it is set on vent at all times unless you ahve to cross more that 30" of water then switch it to deep ford. Doing this does two things, it cuts off the cooling fan so the water doesnt rip the plastic blades off and also pressurizes all the drivetrain so water doesnt get in.
You can by pass the neutral safety switch by jumping pin S and pin T with a paper clip on the cannon plug connector in front of the gear selectors. Be carefull though cause it will crank in any gear.
Also to mess with your buddy you can un plug 54A off the injector pump and have him scratching his head for a while wondering why his truck wont start. We used to use that trick in Iraq to keep the grunts from "borrowing" a truck from us for the night without letting us know about it.
Enjoy doing rear brakes and the driver side front brake. I would invest in a really short 7mm allen head socket if i was you and some good impact quality universals.
Glow plugs are a pain in the ass so change all of them while the body is off. they are standard 6.5 liter glow plugs you can get at the auto parts store. If you cant get them out easily enjoy breaking them off and pulling the injector out and fishing the piece that stayed in the head out with a hanger and sticky chewing gum.
I have tons more info that the mech. manual doesnt have that is very usefull to know if you own one.
let me know if you find the data plate and if so what year and type of HMMWV you have. Also let me know what small parts you will need and i will get them.
