Wondered why my truck had been running like it was "misfiring". Found the culprit! :laugh: This truck has only been driven less than 600 miles with those plugs (same ones that come stock on 5.3Ls).

Too much heat. I've never seen an electrode on the platinum plug exposed like that.

Did you check the gap before you installed them. The last set of plugs I installed in a vehicle , I pulled them out of the box and 4 out of 8 were smashed tight to the electrode.

I dont think to much heat cause that, I give it a shoot for a bad ansamble plug or factory defect!!! Never seen something like that even on some Chevy SB drag engines!!!!
If it is a C10, viagra will be dangerous, Probably Cialis!!!! :)
