i have a 2000 chevy ex cab with a 5.3 w/3'' cat back k&n fipk and bully dog programer. over the weekend i aquired the following parts;
98 f-body ls1 cam lifters and springs
98 f-body intake and throttle body
ls1 f-body fans
which of these parts can i use on my truck? what kind of performance gains can i expect? i'm sure a nelson tune would follow after any of these parts
thanks for any help!!!

come on guys just looking for a little help i discovered last night that i can not use the intake. but is the f-bod throttle body bigger then the one on my truck? also on the cam do i need to change springs? i believe the fans will work without any difficulty just trying to get all of this done before i get a nelson tune :jump: :jump: please somebody give me some guidance!!!!!
what kind of performance, gas mileage, towability can i expect ? i do tow a 21' bass boat
i will also be swapping in 3.73 gears in place of the 3.42s

You can use the fans. 5-10hp gain should be expected. You'll need to get a PCM programmed to control the fans or buy an external controller. The TB is small, I think 78mm. Not sure it will even fit on a truck. You can use the intake and TB but you have to change over to an Fbody water pump. Not sure even if the water pump pulley from an Fbody will align properly with the truck pullies, though. I wouldn't waste my time on installing the fbody cam. Get something better if you're going through the effort. Fbody stock cams aren't worth much. I got $25 on Ebay for mine. Dude said he was going to make a lamp out of it.
