About to begin the swap, have ?'s

I am about to begin swapping a Whipple charged 5.3/4l60E into my 94 work truck. I have almost all the parts rounded up and I am currently working on the harness. I have a couple questions for you guys. My pinouts show pins 58 and 59 on the pcm blue conn to be "class 2 serial data" A green wire and a yellow wire. Which one do I hook to the DLC?

Question #2 What are you guys using to hook fuel lines to the fuel rails? Does someone make a click on fitting that converts to AN or is there another way?

I am planning on putting the 94 temperature sending unit in a "T" in one of the heater hoses and using it to control the stock gauge. Does that sound OK?

Use the green wire, that is it. Ignore or remove the yellow one from the connector.

I just used rubber fuel line from the stock lines coming from the firewall/frame to the two in/out lines on the intake.

Ya, you sure can use the stock thermo, but keep the 5.3L one in there, the pcm needs it, and forget about tapping into the wiring for the 5.3L temp gauge.
The t will work. Also, gm makes a part that replaces your 5.3L sensor, it's part number 12551708 and it has three wires instead of two,
Two of them for the pcm and the other goes to the gauge. It works on my gauge, actually it's a tad off, but get the truck up to temp then pull the needle off and make it read right, mine is wrong when the truck is cold, below 100degs, but it's right on up until 220 or so.

Did you just clamp the rubber to the fuel rail? I already have AN lines on the truck so it would be simple for me to just be able to screw them onto the rails some way. Thanks for the info on the green wire. I am sure I will be on here asking all kinds of stupid questions over the next few weeks. I am planning on starting on Dec 1st.

i just used rubber fuel line from the stock truck intake to the fuel lines by the firewall, they've been holding since and no problems. AN connectors would be better and hold, but mine are still holding.

so, looks like the TOG headers i'm getting built might be something you may be interested in, ya?

Yeah, I'll definitely be interested in the headers, but it will probably be spring time b4 the $$ situation is favorable. The combination I am building for the '94 is basically what I ran in the '02 truck from the fall of '01 to the fall of '02 so I pretty much know how it should perform. And my 94 has toolboxes and is LWB yet weighs 300 pounds less than the 02 SWB! Should be a decent sleeper truck.

OK, I finally got started. I work out of this truck and I had a hard time getting caught up enough to take it out of service. I pulled the LT1 today. I also pulled the right fender so I can get in there easier to hack the frame for A/C clearance. I am going to start hacking the frame and fabbing motor mounts on Tuesday. Once it is bolted in I think it will be smooth sailing from there.

Sleeper-The truck I am working on was my dads before he died. I had built myself an '88 with a LT1 and he liked it so much he wanted one so he went out and bought a motor and all the misc parts. He got put in the hospital about the time we began the swap but I went ahead and finished it for him. When he died he left it to me and I have been driving it for over 3 years now. I have had a lot of probs with the opticrap and about a year ago I put a carb and HEI on it. I put a 6 liter in my 2002 truck and I tried to sell the original 5.3 but never even got any calls. So I decided to put that motor to good use. In the mean time I ran across a smoking deal on another Whipple charger so now I am going to have 2 Whipple equipped trucks!
