ok so today we went into the auto parts store to check out synthetics for my engine. while we were there we started discussing a-pillar gauges. first of all do they make an a-pillar piece that just replaces our factory piece with slots for 3 gauges? ive seen some that screw into the original a-pillar, but were going for the slick look. secondely how easy is an air/fuel ratio gauge to install??? and whats involed in this(where does it hook in to)? any other suggestions for places to mount gauges besides a-pillar? looking for answers, prayin for links/pictures. thanks guys!

if your looking for an air/fuel gauge and a few other gauges for a N/A truck for now, i would definately recommend the interceptor gauge. i myself dont have one, but i read up on the ones allen was selling, and jethro showed me his.
a while ago allen had about five for sale, you might be able to contact him to see about purchasing one. a few guys on here have them, jethro, allen, i think gmcwantsls1 and SC, so you can ask those guys about the functions. but its definately worth the money instead of buying seperate ones.

Not sure exactly what is involved with the a/f gauge hookup, but you can buy preformed a-pillar pods from Summit or Jegs. Autometer makes them.
I have seen single, double, and triple pod units.
There are also gauge pods for the are between the steering wheel and the dash itself for the new body syle trucks.

its not just for me...maybe an ss with some nitrous??? hmmm

if you wanna get fancy with mounting an a/f gauge, you could always remove the passenger air bag and the other stuff around it and mount it in there. ive seen it put in that slot.

Socaldiesel sells a gauge panel that fits in the overhead console hole that fits 2 gauges. It can also come with switches for other things you modify. Allen bought 1.

for the A/F, you have to cut & install a bung in the exhaust in front of thr cats. Then it just screws into the bung (like an oxygen sensor). Couple wires & your good to go.
I can post a pic of my triple A pods if you need.
