6.0L out of a '04 Van any good?

I found a 6.0L and 4l80E Pullout (harness, computer, accessories) out of a 2004 Chevy Van. What is a reasonable dollar amount for this?

Are there any bad things about getting a pullout out of a Van? (reduced compression, HP, etc) Is this what I should be looking for in a 6.0L? I know that it isn't a LQ9, But I am not sure what it actually is.

Any input, or wisdom would be appreciated!!

I'm not sure there is any difference. The 8th digit in the VIN would tell you for sure which engine it is.

its an lq4, thats all i know haha. should produce 300-325 horsepower. how many miles? i could give u a good price est. also what about the tranny?

it is a 4l80e, the package has about 37k miles on it.

I&#39;d jump on it for &#036;2500. Be sure you get everything you can with it. Don&#39;t forget the MAF sensor and air cleaner. I&#39;d get the radiator and coolant bottle too, if you can.

vans are the same as a denali/hummer h2/truck lq4. all lq4 6.0 engines are the same. along with the 4l80 trans. i dont think the vans have any covering on the engine but all is the same....

2500 is a fair deal, especially packaged with a 80e trans. i payed 1700 for my lq4 and it supposedly*** has around 30,000 miles on it. i didnt get a tranny with it, but i will be either having my 60e rebuilt, or just goin with a 65e very soon&#33;

Engine mounts on motor are different from truck and the acc. on the engine are placed closer together. It has DBW (drive by wire) which means you will have to have the electronic gas pedal assembly or you can switch to a truck intake manifold that is a 99-02 model. The engines are the same as for as power and internals FYI.


2500 is a GREAT PRICE for an eng/tranny combo

Thanks for the info. It is 2300 + shipping, shipping a long way. So maybe I will wait for something closer and that I will not have to mess with DBW.

See what shipping will be. Most places that ship a lot get good deals. &#036;250 shipping would be very fair across the country.
