I just ordered some new toyo's for the truck
front: 255/55/18
rear: 285/50/18
I don't know anything about the tires, but got a good deal on them. I'm hoping that the larger rear will help me hook up a little better.

Holy shit...HE'S BAAACKK!!
Good to hear the lake didn't swallow you yet.
Why didn't you go with the 305/50's? They hooked preetty well for you I'd say.

iev always heard good things bout the toyo s/t's.... never had any personal experience but alot of people i used to run around with had 20's and 22's and what not..... they all had the toyo's
when they are new, they hook pretty good. they wear down fast and once the tread gets about 1/2 way down they get flat out scarry in the rain. also, after you lose about 1/2 tread all traction goes out the window. i went to nitto 404's as a second set of tires and wont go back to the proxies. maybe im just a 1 case deal though. everyone else praises them...i feel like i just fell into the "toyo proxy hype". the 404's are a better tire IMO.

Mine have been pretty good to me. I have actually gotten my best 60' with them. I have done many burnouts with them and I'm pleasantly suprised with their wear. I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

I've had my Toyo's for a little over a year, and I've put about 10k miles on them. They look new, and perform very well. I'm running the 305/45-22's. Good luck with the traction. In 2wd, it doesn't take much to light em up.
thats my experience with the toyos after a few miles, and thats exactly what we dont want. if i could keep the power and never be able to peel out ever again i would be sooooo happy. loss of traction=slower times, and it will be sooner to buy expensive tires.Quote:
