SWAP HEADERS ARE HERE! Long Tube Headers installed!

I've been working on a couple of other swaps, and we had some headers made, and just for kicks I decided to try and see if they would fit into my OBS LS1 swap. Amazingly enough, they were incredibly close to fitting, with a couple of quick mods to the header, we have them installed with plenty of clearance.

After we get a jig setup in a couple of weeks, we will be selling these, but most of you guys will need new motor mounts. The motor mounts in my truck sit the motor about 7/8" farther back towards the firewall than the standard mounts most people use. This puts the back of the motor and trans in the stock location so stock driveshafts, trans lines, trans mount etc all fit with no new parts being made. You can read more info about the motor mounts I used in my original LS2 success swap thread.

Once I modify the exhaust to fit the headers, I will be getting a dyno to see what kind of gains I got from them.

WTF took so long? Those look nice. What are they in? Doesn't look like a 2wd OBS truck. 4WD?

Well, the stock 10 bolt completely exploded on me last week, so while I&#39;ve been waiting for parts, I&#39;ve been working like crazy to get some sort of long tubes in the truck while its down.

It&#39;s a 1998 4WD ext cab. No idea if these will work on a 2WD or not, but if theres anyone in southeast michigan that wants to test fit them, that would be great.

Those look damn good&#33; They won&#39;t fit the 2 wheel drive because they will hit the upper control arm on the passenger side. The drivers side might work though.

BTW, I can give you the exact dimensions to clear everything if you want to make some for a 2 wheel drive.

I&#39;ll set what I can do. Here are a couple of pics that might help you out though. The first 2 are mine and in the 2nd picture the header hit the upper control arm and eccentric so I had a different one made that&#39;s in the first pic. The 3rd pic belongs to vettetruck89 and the fourth to motoxlifer.
