Well if any of you Okies out there are gonna go to the Walters cruise Saturday look me up. A bunch of us are going to the new Sooner Motorplex afterwards for some grudge racing. This dude with a Frod Lightening wants to shut my mouth so I'm gonna let him try. Hope to see yall there!
If you're running 8.5s you are going to embarrass him so bad. The only way he gonna win is if the contest is to see who is the last across the finish line. No contest. :doh:
Well I personally have never seen one run. That's pretty much what people keep telling me though. He said it ran an 8.50 the first time to the track. It is supposed to be stock except for the muffler, so we'll see. He says he's got a friend that has one too with an overdrive pulley and some other mods, he might get me, but shut my mouth...never.
Don't forget your track tire, then. I've never seen a stock lightning run faster than an 8.7. I've seen some on the high 7s, though. Underdrive pullies make a world of difference. Figure out some way to bring cold air into the intake from in front of the core support or bumper and you'll drop .05 off your times.
Are they under or overdrive pullies? I don't understand why you would want your s/c to turn slower. Anyway, I removed my d/s headlight, remember. I don't know if that is what your talking about or not.
Oh yeah, I'm definitely bringing the track tires.
You can get some vent elbow at home depot to channel the air directly into the intake tube, bypassing the air cleaner. I'll be doing something like that in the near future. Gotta do the headers first.
