Well, FedEx just showed up and brought me my next project. Now to see if what MotoX spoke of will work. I am waiting for the head flanges to show up tomorrow or Friday from Illinois. Wish me luck!

They look good Greg. Are you going to cut the #4 cylinder tube off of the passenger side and reweld it? Looks like it will hit the upper control arm. The drivers side looks pretty good as far as routing.
-
I'm glad someone is going to try this! Good luck Red!
-
Yeah, I don't understand cylinder 4 at all. That's an odd one there. Maybe it goes around the engine mount?
I will be cutting the entire pipe apart on the head end for new flanges and exhaust bores that are closer than on the BBC. It will be interesting to say the least.

Kinda reminds me of the longtubes for the S-10's that go around the steering linkage on the drivers side. I wonder if you can reverse that tube somehow. I hope it works for you. More HP!

They have a set of pipes that look closer to fitting but they're 2" diameter tubes and only 18 gauge steel.

Ha! Ha! Sweet! I hope it works Red! You'll be saying bless you Moto. Then you can make me a set! ha ha
Man I don't see how #4 can possibly work. But I'm sure they designed it that way for a reason. Just seems like it would hit the motor mount or a-arm.
Something I just realized, most of those tubes are layed out almost parrallel to the flanges and some are almost touching. Looks like it might be hard to move them around to fit the new flanges. I was invisioning them being mostly perpindicular to the flanges which seems like you could move them around fairly easily after they have been cut from the flanges.

I'll definitely be measuring 100 times and cutting once.
-
Yeah I guess it's gonna require a little more fabricating than I was expecting. But still very do-able. Like you said make careful measurements & precise cuts. What are you gonna use to cut with? A cut off tool or a torch. The #4 tube looks like it can be bent into place and 1 tube on each side won't have to be mollested(ha ha ) at all.
