The Comp Cam would probably give more power, you would need springs for either cam, also, either cam supposedly, doesn't require tuing.
Out of the two, the ls6 cam would be an easier daily driver, but the Comp cam would be very civilized also.
Either one is a good cam, if i was going thru the trouble, i'd put the comp cam in.

dont waste your time with the LS6 cam in a truck imo....it didnt impress me much in the car my friend has last weekend, but it did trap 106.

Thunder racing has a good deal going on, you can get the springs, cam, rods, for about $700 and the titianium retainers are about another 100$, but you can reuse your old ones.
Damn, all these mods going on, i need to figure would what i'm going to do with my truck, next mod. lol

SORRY!!Here goes probably a dumb question, i just needed to know.When you say that the ls6 cam would be an eaiser daily driver vs. the comp cam, what do you mean by that? Is the comp cam too extreme, I mean is that kinda like a track only situation. I just don't fully understand that.
i guess it's like how a vette would idle, compared to how the comp cam would idle, both would be very streetalbe, and both would have a good idle, it's just the comp cam would have a noticable lope and the z06 would hardly have one.Quote:

I wouldn't go thru the hassle and only put in a vette came, go for the comp cam, you'll like it, and more power.
both are great cams, just if you're gonna do a cam swap, go with something a little more than the vette cam, both will require a spring upgrade,

comp cam 265/271 212/218 .522 .529 114 rpm 1200-6000 or
comp cam 269/273 216/220 .525 .532 114 rpm 1400-6300
I've tuned a few of the ls1 hot cams, and they are pretty agressive, if you want a lopey idle and great power, i'd go for the hot cam, i've seen great results with them.Quote:

If it's going in a truck, i'd say don't do it without a stall or manual trans.
