What is the deal with the top buttons?

What the heck is the "hgfhgf" button next to Help & Search buttons for???

You noticed, too? I was looking for my mod buttons today and caught that. Seems like our site admin has been messing around with stuff inadvertantly.

Maybe they were trying to see how long it took before someone noticed it and said something.
