I have a 2004 LS6 cam with 8,000 miles for sale. Had intentions of puting it in my 5.3, but plans changed. $150+ shipping. Please shoot me an e-mail at kwurmnest@bradley.edu if interested. Thanks, Kyle. :thumb:

can this be put in any truck, or does it have to be an LS1 engine?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Ryan_the_one @ Jun 20 2006, 11:54 AM) </div>It can go into any LS series motor (4.8, 5.3, 5.7, 6.0) One thing to note is that the base circle on the LS6 cam is smaller than any other LS cam. This is an extra LS6 cam I bought off a friend, I have an entire cam swap package ('02 cam, yellow springs, keepers, and 7.45" Trickflow pushrods), but I want to keep that for when I do get to build a truck after I'm done with school and my priorities can change to more fun. However, several guys on here have good success with just a cam/spring swap. You should be able to get some used LS6 springs for about $50 from a local speed shop or eBay. It's a lot cheaper way to go with really good results. Let me know. KyleQuote:

Removed... my springs may not be compatible since this cam has .550" lift.
It'd be a great cam for your truck Ryan, I have one in my 99 Z71 and it pulls great, I also have a 2500 stall to go with it. It does fine with a stock stall, but I would get at least a 2600-2800 with it. The powerband kicks in at 3k. I'd get the 7.425" rods to go with it.

I would still like to get part # if you don't mind
as well as pic
Ok, sorry for the long reply, but things have been busy. The PN on the end of the cam reads as follows:
5308
S 10
3010
I have detailed pis of the cam. Just shoot me a PM with your email I can send them to. Thanks, Kyle.
Are you positive that it's an LS6 cam and not an LS2? In 2004 both engines were available. The LS2 cam will not work in a GenIII engine due to lack of cam sensor pickup on the camshaft.
