question on your transmission choice. Why are you planning on going from an auto to a standard?
I have a 5 speed in my truck right now(1988 gmc sbsc) and was actually thinking of going the opposite way to an auto, and using a lokar floor shifter. Farmtruc and I have talked about this, and I actually figure it may just be easier to go to an automatic because he has his truck running pretty good and is probably more familiar with autos.
What are your plans on the transmission location? it's going to be about 12 inches back from where a stock shifter would be -- are you going to keep that back like that or makeshift something that will put it further ahead?
Do you have any pics of your current stuff? Im just thinking about the swap and thinking of what i need done. I have already decided on all wiring, i'm going to have Oscar at Dynatech do that for me, hopefully he can help me with some autometer gauges -- I have those pie-chart gauges. :thumbdown:
