After reading Allen's "Understanding the track" post, I was wondering which stall would be best for me. My truck has all stock internals, its a 4.8 with 3.73's. I've heard that we can use the trailblazer torque converter because they are good for about 2400 RPM's, but I've also heard that some people have had troube with them. The only towing that I do is a pop-up camper about once every two months. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks Brett

if you tow i would reccommend a PI vigilante triple disc, its heavy duty. Mines a 2800 and i tow my car hauler with vehicle or my old ford tractor NO PROBLEM, they are a bit pricey but do it once and do it right!

I'm loving this 2600stall in my heavy Avalanche. As soon as I accelerate normally, the rpms stay at 2K and just keep it in the sweet spot, any harder and it will stay around 2600rpms until it gets to 4th gear, then the tc locks up.
The only down side is, I think I lost about .5mpg, boohoo, lol.
I'm probably getting a little more stall than most smaller trucks because of the weight difference and additional torque when boost kicks in, but, I thing this is a perfect converter for any stock cam or mild cam.
I say get the 2600yank, great gains for the money.
