i just bought a 2006 chevy silverado, reg cab, short box, 4.8L, 2wd, 5 speed. along w/ it, i have bought a supercharger, exhaust, 20" wheels/tire, a roll pan and a 4/6 drop kit. pictures and videos will soon be posted. my question before i install this stuff is would it be benificial for me to install different fuel injectors or a mass air flow sensor? or do you think the stock ones can handle it. the supercharger came w/ a hand held tool to program a chip i guess, is that all i need? im excited to get goin on my project but while i have the engine torn apart, if i should install injectors also, i'll do it while im right there. let me know what you think! thank

What kind is the s/c kit? Did the kit come with an auxillary fuel pump? I would think you would need more fuel either through a FMU, voltage booster or larger injectors.

Please provide all of the details that you can so that we may give a proper opinion. Type of Supercharger, boost you plan on running, what came with the supercharger? Was it a kit, if so what is in the kit? What are you doing as far as the computer goes? If you need to do tuning talk to Farmtruc on this board, or Contact Nelson Performance. Allen is the man to deal with.

its a magnacharger w/ 10 psi of boost. it didnt come w/ any kind of aux. fuel pump, or anything. it did come w/ a hand held programmer. it came w/ an intercooler, mounts, belt, coolant resevoir, k&n air filter, and the programmer. i bought corsa exhaust too. im hopin this gives me the extra power for the price tag this stuff came w/.

you need to call magnuson and get a radix fuel pump kit for your application , (there about 120$) and you better get a boost gauge and a wideband sensor , and also some type of scanner to watch your fuel and timing values. trust me , ive learned to play the game you cant skimp on gauges! Allen Nelson has a great deal on wideband gauges and interceptor scan gauges that will let you monitor all thats necessary to watch on your truck. GOOD LUCK! :thumb: BTW, DID the charger come with fuel injectors already installed?

Chances are the injectors in the Magnacharger are already sized. Should be 42# ers.

well i just found out the supercharger does already have injectors in it and the kit did come w/ a fuel pump and that programer, so i think the only other thing i'll need is that gauge you were talkin about. the project begins tomorrow. im puttin the wheels/tires on and the exhaust. this weekend the supercharger is goin on. the drop kit should be in any day so i might get to start on lowerin it this weekend too. as soon as best buy fixes my camera and sends it to me, i'll start takin pictures as we make progress. thanks everyone for your help and advise!
