I need some input. Do you think $2400 is a good price for my....
Complete '00 5.3 with my wiring harness and all acc.
,'02 Ls1 heads, Patriot Gold double springs w/ titanium retainers and new seats and seals, SLP cam-234/228 .576 .571 113lsa, new head gaskets with new head bolts, cam and springs have only 500 miles on them, comes with oil pan, but has small crack, new oil pan gasket, front and rear cover gaskets and valve covers gaskets. never had N20 run through it. All brackets and vavle covers have been powder coated. Motor runs very strong.Hear the motor run before buying.
Does not come with the S-3 TB and PCM.
Or I thought about selling the hole truck for $3950 w/ out PCM & gauges. I can get you a pcm from Allen if you like. I will leave the gauges in for $450.
I took out my new interor and installed the old seat out of my new step side truck truck.I did leave the ''05 dash in, but it needs to be finished out.NO NOS!
The truck has a 3/4 drop, but needs some suspension and brake work!! I just installed a 3000 stall but the tranny is acting up and doing some weird stuff. It may be in the tune, the new stall or the tranny!
The truck pulls hard and runs great for the most part.
For pics look here at the step by step install!

I personally don't think that $2400 is too much for all that you have done, but you have to look at the reality factor of being able to buy a 6.0 with just as much or more HP that your 5.3 has. So No it is no asking to o much, but will probably be a lil' harder to sell. IMO
Good Luck Selling it,
If you have no luck selling it complete, you might try parting it out. :twocents:

the more stuff you remove from the completed truck, the harder it will be to sell. If you want to sell it whole, it will have to be complete and driveable. I'd see what others are selling for and add about $500 to the asking price. You are fortunate to be in the DFW marketplace with the truck. In OK you'd be lucky to get $1500 out of it. Here, you'll probably be able to get $3000 after wheeling and dealing with someone that knows what he's looking at.

Look in the truck trader. These trucks are going for a killing!!!
The gen III motor should be worth alot. Right! I would never ever let this thing go for $3000. I gues Ill stick with selling the long block. Thanks guys!! :thumb:

You can get what you wnat for the truck, but like Red says you have to find that person that knows what they are looking at and respects the project.

Honestly, if it were all original it would be worth a small fortune. Now that its 25 years old its a classic and no longer has to pass emissions testing, I think. I've seen the late 70s/early 80s trucks selling under a grand up here in Denton that needed work. I've seen totally stock in primo condition for $5000.

Yea they are letting those year trucks go for alot. i think you gotta good price for all of it. just advertise and they will come! LOL Ill see if i cant help out, maybe make me some money!! LOL just kdding. no but ill ask around see if i cant take someone by there to look at it.

MAN, I HAVE A SOFT SPOT for those old short beds!! GOOD LUCK, somebody will snatch it up, but it will be easier to sell whole.

I was offered $3500 for my '86 (great shape)... that was with a 4.3L/TH350 powertrain combo. The '81 will sell (whole & running) for $4000 solid (if in good physical & running condition). Wish I had the money. Check your PMs!
