Well, my problem is stated above. I'm about to take a drive for a couple of hours and see if things get regulated by the PCM, but thought I would post and see if any of the experts out there had any input? Just to save time, I installed exactly per the instructions, everything is tight, etc. Any ideas?

Possible you damaged the MAF during the exchange?
-
2003 5.3L? You did not descreen the MAF, did you? Did you pull any wires loose in the MAF connector?
-
No to both questions. It seems to be runnning better the more I drive it. Every once in a while, I'm still getting a little bit of a rough idle. Wondering if it just needs time to adjust?

 dont know then...I didn't have any issues when i changed up intakes.
-
i had a true flow intake before i got the turbo, had no problems at all, it probably needs to learn :twocents:
-
Turns out when I reattached the neg. cable, I was supposed to start the truck with all accessories off and let the computer "figure out" the fuel requirements...Live and learn. Runs good now.

I know this is an old thread, but how do you like the true flow intake??
-
Well I sold it when I went back to stock. I personally don't enjoy oiling the filter, so I wouldn't get it again. That aside, it served the purpose. I like my new route better - even if it is home made.

i thought the true flow was a foam filter, so no oiling?
Im looking at the different CAi's for these trucks, and cant make up my mind which one i want, im sure they all do the same thing, but there is a alot of differance in price among them. Im liking the volant the best
