Hell ya you'll gain bro! It'll probably be a little choppy though and you might want to put a stall in it if you haven't already.
Yeah it will pick up power.
Comparing your 223/225-114 to a 226/226-112
1. Added 6* of overlap @ .050''
2. Intake lobe's size will increase cylinder fill. At .200'', you'll be adding 8* of duration.
3. Exhaust lobe is larger. Increase in top end.
the cam now is 51 something to do with cam idle wonder what this one will be.
Kevin,
What is 51? LOL
The only numbers I could come up with after looking at it a while.
Subtracting your .050'' duration from the .006'' gives a value of 51 on both the
intake and exhaust side.
Intake: 274* - 223*
Exhaust: 276* - 225*
Some use this to get an approximation of the acceleration of the lobe. Lower
numbers indicate a faster ramp rate as the lifter travels the cam lobe pushing
the valve open from .006'' (opening) to .050''.
The 226 profile has a value of 49*... XE-R lobes are pretty 'quick'.
yeah that is what i was looking for lol, kyle your the man when it comes to cams hahaha, so i hear your putting in a few new toys this weekend huh?? looks like you'll be a mid to low 12 sec truck, congrates.
