Yeah its funny when I go in there and can tell them more about they part than they can tell me.
Ya we were looking for an easy out kit today and they brought us a helicoil kit. I was like what the heck. It is all good though. Old cam is going to hit the trash can and new one going in. :thumb:
Everyone ahs to learn sometime just not behind an autoparts counter
My wife and had I stopped at the local O'Reilly's the other day and while I was looking at the chemicals, the store clerk asked if she needed help. She said yes, was looking for touchup paint for her TA, the clerk said they didnt carry touchup paint, which pissed my wife off because she was standing in front of it, looking at it. So my wife, to prove her superiority even more so over this peon, asked if they had a Knueter valve for a 1980 Ford Escort and the clerk started looking it up. (Here is where it gets real funny)I am still looking at the chemicals, and this clerk who couldn't find the Knueter valve for a 1980 Escort, gets his boss to come over and help out. Hiss boss, a man in his mid 40's, who you would think knew his biz, attempted to look up the elusive part and admitted, "Ma'am, I guess we don't have that but I could call around on Monday and see if we can get you one. She said, "If you or your dumbass flunky knew your business very well, you would know that there is touch up paint in this store not to mention that there is no such thing as a Kneuter Valve you Idiot!" She then asked for his supervisor's number, went home and called the regional manager and I believe she actually got him fired or demoted.

hell hath no fury a woman scorned!
one of my friends told me the other day he was going to have to replace his MAP sensor b/c he was getting a code in his Cavalier. Well, turns out he got the code scanned at Auto Zone. The guy told him his MAP sensor was bad and he needed to get a new one.
I asked him if he has the code printout, he handed it to me and it was a MAF failure code that was checked! lol I said dude, ur in for a few more dollars to be spent, they told you the wrong part was out.
How the hell can you see the code for the MAF and be dumb enough to tell someone their MAP sensor is bad?
Chris
Because they have no clue most of the time. One of the guys need to take a converted 80's model to the parts store for a part. Show it to them and watch smoke roll out the ears and blood vesle blow in their forehead.
